Fine Pitch Nuts

Metric fine pitch nuts have more threads per unit length than a standard metric coarse pitch nut. For example M10 coarse pitch has one thread per 1.5mm and M10 fine pitch has one thread per 1.25mm.

Fine pitch nut and bolt assemblies are stronger than the equivalent coarse pitch assembly and are more resistant to loosening, when subject to vibration.

Fine pitch nuts are, however, more succeptable to damage and are more likely to suffer from thread galling. Consequently fine pitch components require more time to assemble.

This page features our current range of metric fine pitch nuts.
