Zinc Plated Steel Dome Nuts

Known in the UK as Dome Nuts these are a popular fixing used in applications where aesthetics are important, offering an attractive finish. Dome nuts ensure a smooth snag-free surface, helping to protect both the fixing and any foreign body that may come into contact. Also known as Acorn Nuts, particularly in the USA, the metric threaded nuts are manufactured to DIN 1587. Also available is a prevailing torque Dome Nyloc Nut manufactured to DIN 986. Available in UNF, UNC as well as Metric sizes. USA versions to ASME B18.2.2.

Brass	Brass - Offers an attractive, corrosion resistant finish.
BZP	Bright Zinc Plated (BZP) Steel - Non-stainless standard steel grade offering a basic level of corrosion resistance.
Nylon	Plastic (Nylon Polyamide) - A tough lightweight plastic, strong at low temperatures, with excellent resistance to chemicals, and features favourable sliding friction behaviour.

Domed end also ensures a smooth snag-free finish protecting both the fixing and any foreign body that may come into contact . Also known as an Acorn Nut, these nuts are manufactured to DIN 1587. Also available with a Nyloc insert to DIN 986. Please note that due to manufacturing limitations, all nylon variants of these items are only "similar to" and not "in absolute accordance with" the standard specified.
