A4 Stainless Steel Metal Screws

Metal Screws may refer to either thread rolling screws or self drilling tek screws, both of which form the mating thread on installation into a metal part or substrate. A seperate tapping operation is therefore not required.

Thread rolling screws incorporate an ISO metric machine type thread. The triangular shaped tip design allows the thread rolling screw to cold form the female thread. These items are manufactured to DIN 7500, a standard that covers several head and drive types.

Self drilling tek screws are designed to drill and tap their own fixing hole, again reducing the number of operations required to make the joint. There are a number of different variants available specific to the task at hand. The examples below are for metal to metal operations.

Hex Head Tek Screws for Heavy Steel Section 4.0mm to 12.5mm with Bonded EPDM Washer

Identical to the heavier duty standard hex headed self drilling screw or tek screw, tek 5, with the addition of the integrated EPDM washer for situations where a waterproof seal is required. For attaching to heavy steel section of thickness between 4.0mm and 12.5mm.
