Wing nuts are used for parts that require simple, frequent disassembly & reassembly and where high torque assembly is not needed.
Designed to be tightened by hand so no tools are required. Consequently wing nuts are more susceptible to tampering and loosening due to vibration.
Offered in either the standard american variant or the premium german variant and offered in metric, UNC and UNF thread forms.
