DIN 126 - Flat Washer

This product guide describes one of the many metric sized flat washers specified and available from Westfield Fasteners. This flat washer can be considered to have 'normal' dimensions, which means neither large nor small. The basis of this specification is the DIN standard DIN 126.

Product Description

A flat washer, similar to a DIN 125 Form A flat washer, but with a slightly bigger internal diameter, so that it gives slightly more clearance to the bolt. Designed for use with hexagonal head bolts and nut assemblies, but can of course be used for any application requiring a washer with increased clearances.

Scope of the DIN Standard.

DIN 126 describes this washer as a 'Product grade C washer'. The standard covers steel washers with a hardness class of HV 100, for sizes M5 up to and including M160.

Table 1 below defines the overall dimensions and tolerances of this washer type.
